Indigenous Systems is a platform developed through Humanculture™ to document Indigenous knowledge, environmental stewardship, and governance systems globally across ecological contexts. It brings together field-based documentation, research, and international institutional engagement related to living Indigenous systems and the communities who sustain them.
Stephanie Zabriskie is the Founder and Executive Director of Humanculture. Her work on Indigenous systems focuses on how traditional governance and ecological knowledge address modern global challenges such as climate change and resource scarcity. Through the Indigenous Systems platform, she documents Indigenous knowledge while ensuring it remains owned and stewarded by the communities themselves.
