Humanculture
International nonprofit registered 501(c)3 U.S.A. and Canada.
Founded by Stephanie Zabriskie in 2018, Humanculture is an Indigenous-led international nonprofit organization working with African and Indigenous communities across the Global South to protect cultural and expand access to essential human rights. Humanculture advances Indigenous and community-led work across essential access, knowledge systems, ecology, land stewardship, arts, culture, humanitarian aid, and climate resilience. Dedicated to the life, land, and culture of African and Indigenous peoples in remote societies, their work supports communities that are often excluded from global visibility and resource access.
As Founder and Executive Director, Stephanie guides strategy, partnerships, and creative direction, ensuring each project is community-led, culturally grounded, and designed for long-term regional impact.
Indigenous Systems
International documentation and research platform
Humanculture contributes to global institutional, academic, and editorial discussions, including United Nations processes. The Indigenous Systems platform hosts the documentation, publications, and global contributions connected to this work. The framework and documentation presented on this platform are developed through the work of Stephanie Zabriskie, whose research examines Indigenous systems, governance, climate adaptation, and access within global development contexts. Her publications explore how Indigenous systems inform broader discussions related to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community-based approaches to development.
